What We Believe
WE BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testament, is the word of God. Inspired by God and without error in all that it teaches, it is the final authority in matters of belief and conduct.
WE BELIEVE THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD
We believe in only one God, loving, holy, eternal, and unchanging. God exists and reveals himself in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE JESUS CHRIST IS GOD
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He became human, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully human, tempted and yet without sin.
We believe that Jesus Christ, the divinely appointed Substitute, provided the only atonement for sin by shedding his blood. Through his death he defeated the Devil, enabling people to be set free from the power of sin and to be reconciled to God. He conquered the power of death by rising from the dead, bringing life and hope.
We believe in his ascension/rising up to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory.
WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who lives within and guides Christians, so they are enabled to live godly lives.
WE BELIEVE IN SALVATION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH
We believe people are saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. The basis of this salvation is Christ’s life, teachings, his atoning death and his resurrection. Justification, the new birth and the transformed life are experienced through repentance and faith in Christ. His atonement is sufficient for all, and all are invited to accept the free gift of salvation.
WE BELIEVE IN ETERNAL LIFE
We believe that through belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, we spend eternity with the Lord in Heaven. We believe that in rejecting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we receive eternal separation from the only true Source of life. Also, because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian
WE BELIEVE IN THE CHURCH
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, that all believers are members of His body, the Church, which is expressed tangibly through local church gatherings. The building or meeting place is not the church. God’s people are the church.
WE BELIEVE IN GOD´S DESIGN FOR BIBLICAL MARRIAGE
We believe God’s design for sexual intimacy is to be expressed only within the context of biblical marriage. God instituted biblical marriage between one man and one woman as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that biblical marriage is exclusively the union of one man and one woman, which ought to parallel the union between Christ and the church.
WE BELIEVE THAT GOD CREATED ALL HUMANS IN HIS IMAGE
We believe that God created human beings, both male and female, in his own image. Therefore, every human life is sacred from conception to death, and must be protected regardless of age, ability, or stage of development.
IN SUMMARY, WE BELIEVE THE GOSPEL.
Jesus Christ is the gospel. The good news is revealed in his birth, life, death, resurrection, and ascension. Christ’s crucifixion is the heart of the gospel, his resurrection is the power of the gospel, and his ascension is the glory of the gospel. Christs death defeated the Devil, enabling people to be set free from the power of sin and to be reconciled to God. It satisfies the demands of God’s holy justice. It also demonstrates his mysterious love and reveals his amazing grace. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man. There is no other name by which people must be saved. At the heart of all sound doctrine is the cross of Jesus Christ and the infinite privilege that redeemed sinners have of glorifying God because of what he has accomplished. Therefore, we want all that takes place in our hearts, churches, and ministries to proceed from and be related to the cross.
